Emma is frequently asked if she knows of available horses or eager buyers.

The difficulty for her is whether she knows a horse well enough to recommend it as a safe and reliable ride, and if a horse will be suitable for potential owners.

There are two ways in which Emma can aid selling your horse or pony. The first is a Horsetrade advertisement with a horseshoe rating and an approval rosette.

EL Rosette

Every horse advertisement on this website and Emma's social media feeds that bears a rosette comes with Emma's recommendation; the horse has been visited and assessed by Emma. Any buyer can now look at that horse with confidence, knowing that it has already been approved by someone with years of experience and expertise. A rosette advertisement also rates the horse's abilities at each discipline, their behaviour and general temperament.

Horseshoe Rating

Within each rosette advertisement, the horse is rated by Emma according to its abilities in each discipline and general behaviour and temperament.

The ratings are somewhat conservative and represent the horse as it stands, rather than the potential it may have to be much more (which may indeed be worthy of five shoes). A horse will have to be exceptional to achieve five shoes, three and above is a good rating. Equally, a one shoe rating should not be regarded as black mark against the horse, it may represent a lack of experience rather than ability, and to be assessed fit for an EL Rosette (and be put on this website) is a recommendation in itself.

Each rosette advertisement costs a one-off fee of £120 (excluding travel expenses). The cost covers the initial assessment visit and the copywriting of the detailed write-up based on Emma's report and production of the advertisement that can be used by Emma and the owner thought the internet/socials.

Advertising on Horsetrade

The second is option is advertising on Emma's website and/or her sharing your advert on her social media feeds.

This is a networking opportunity to reach the thousands of people who access Emma's equestrian businesses be it virtually or in person.

Emma can share, answer and filter any potential buyers questions and pass on the owner's details.

Horses and ponies advertised in this way do not come with a recommendation rosette.

The cost for using Emma's networks for advertising your horse for sale without a recommendation rosette/horseshoe rating is a one-off fee of £40 for one month.
